Starting your IBC Chapter:

Step 1:

  • Create an IBC Project account (Sign in through your Google account)

  • Look at Curriculum and Curriculum - General to fully understand our mission and what our Curriculum looks like (note that after account creation, you still will not have access to view the "Chapter Pages"/Our Curriculum in full-this is because we will have to give access to your account and will do so after you have finished Steps 1-3)

  • Reach out to us via the Contact Us page if you are interested in starting a chapter,  once contacted we will get back to you shortly

Step 2:

  • After we contact you, get permission to start an IBC chapter at your school via your club director

  • If necessary, find a teacher to overlook your club i.e. provide you with a room to host meetings in, give you access to a smartboard to present curriculum to your members, etc.

Step 3:

  • At this point, make sure you have not yet started the club but have acquired permission to start club.

  • After receiving permission to start your own IBC club, contact us and we will coordinate with you from there

  • Cover no more than 1 sub-unit a week 

  • Throughout the course of the club year, write 5 (at least 650 word) finance articles; in essence, you will write 1 article per chapter, and 1 chapter takes about 4-5 weeks to cover (including IBC Social)-hence you will have 4-5 weeks to write 1 article 

  • Create a logo for your IBC titled: (School Initials) IBC or Investment Banking Club which you will use on your slides (alongside the IBC Project Logo) as a watermark; As well, you will use this logo for your other socials

  • Create an Instagram and update with posts for every meeting (use @mhs_investmentbankingclub Instagram for reference)

  • Record your lectures to post to Youtube 

  • Create a Linktree that includes your Youtube, Instagram, etc.

  • Create attendance forms for every meeting and take a group picture of you and your members every meeting (this will likely go on the IBC Project's Instagram Page (alongside yours)

  • Create Thumbnails for various Youtube videos, Instagram posts, and more

  • Contact us for more information but most importantly, have fun!
